Baptists at 400

In 2009 Baptists mark the 400th anniversary since their first arising in Europe. This series of articles by various Baptist historians will help you know, understand and appreciate the price they paid to worship God according to conscience and soul freedom. They will help you to understand the broad and strong foundation from which Baptists of today may stretch toward the future. — The Editor

Some articles are originally found at Baptist History and Heritage Society’s web site.

The Baptist History and Heritage Society has produced resources, especially designed for this anniversary year that provide information on Baptist beginnings. Pamphlets include: English Baptist Origins by Karen Smith; Baptist Beginnings in America by Bill J. Leonard; Origins of the American Baptist Churches, USA by William H. Brackney; Southern Baptist Convention by Rosalie Beck; African American Baptist Origins by Sandy Martin; Hispanic Baptist Origins (English and Spanish available) by Albert Reyes; and Beginnings of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship by Pamela R. Durso.

Pamphlets may be purchased in any combination at $25 per 100 copies. To order, call (678) 547-6095 or e-mail: pamdurso@baptisthistory.org. Provide your name, address, and telephone  number. Shipping costs will be added to your invoice.
