David Crocker and Greg Mathis are about halfway through their 13-city, 16-meeting tour promoting a plan to share leadership of the Baptist State Convention (BSC) and its General Board.

Crocker and Mathis are co-chairs of the Commission on Cooperation whose members developed the leadership plan.

The next meeting is set for 10 a.m. July 26 at Charlotte's Carmel Baptist Church. The church is at 1145 Pineville-Matthews Road.

Seven meetings are scheduled for August and September:

  • Aug. 16, 10 a.m., Winston-Salem, Calvary Baptist Church, 5000 Country Club Road.

  • Aug. 16, 7 p.m., Winston-Salem, First Baptist Church, 501 W. 5th St.

  • Aug. 17, 10 a.m., Greensboro, Southside Baptist Church, 1001 Greenhaven Drive.

  • Aug. 23, 10 a.m. Fayetteville, Village Baptist Church, 906 S. MacPherson Church Road.

  • Aug. 24, 10 a.m., Wilmington, Winter Park Baptist Church, 4700 Wrightsville Ave.

  • Sept. 9, 10 a.m., Rocky Mount, North Roanoke Association, North Halifax Road.

  • Sept. 10, 10 a.m., Greenville, The Memorial Baptist Church, 1510 Greenville Blvd. SE.
