Unless you have been an active Mormon for an extended period, and unless you understand their doctrine inside and out, you're probably doing more harm than good by trying to tell them what their beliefs are.
I was a Mormon for 30 years before I requested to have my name removed from the Latter-day Saints (LDS) order to serve my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I held the office of "Elder," and had been sealed with my family in the Mormon temple in Washington, D.C. I was the teacher for the "Elders Quorum" for five years, and was a member of the "Elders Quorum Presidency" in the mid 90's.
I would eagerly discuss the reason for my exiting the Mormon religion and becoming an ordained minister to serve my Lord. My wife, Judy, and I also have our own ministry in the Wayne-Wilson County areas.
Mormons use some of the same words we do when defending their gospel, but many times they have a different meaning. Unless you can understand their train of thought, you will never really communicate! If you are interested in evangelizing in LDS territory, I would be more than happy to share my experiences and studies with you, and to help you understand the real doctrinal differences between Bible believers and Mormons.
