Get 'em to Gulfport

In December North Carolina Baptists plan to hammer the final nail in the 700th house repaired or built in Gulfport, Miss., under the direction of Baptist Men since Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005.

This phenomenal effort has garnered Baptist Men national recognition, Mississippi gratitude and North Carolina pride.

Remember that Baptist Men is one of the primary recipients of your gifts through the North Carolina Missions Offering (NCMO). Your gifts through NCMO provide the ongoing staff support that enables Baptist Men to be poised for action.

The NCMO's secondary theme is "Get 'em to Gulfport!" Two characters - NiC and MO - are asking your church to help get them a mile toward Gulfport with a truckload of supplies and volunteers. Can your church get NiC and MO a mile toward Gulfport, at a dollar a foot? Watch their progress and show your kids fun matching games at www.ncmissionsoffering.org.

Additionally, your NCMO gifts support Woman's Missionary Union, church planting, chaplaincy, African-American and special ministries and the ministry of your own association, which receives back a portion of NCMO gifts given by its churches.

The valuable ministry of Woman's Missionary Union will be looking for your support as they prepare to establish their own offices and shoulder financial responsibility for their entire operation. They need your commitment.
