Proposal would make BSC board 'sin police'

Look out BSC churches that accept gluttonous members! If Bill Sanderson's proposed amendment of the Baptist State Convention's (BSC) Articles of Incorporation is approved then the Board of Directors of the BSC can boot churches receiving fat members. That's right, item five in the proposed change says that any church "accepting as members those whom the church knows have refused to repent of sin" could be put out by the board. Gluttony is a sin, so churches receiving gluttonous members could be kicked out. It is high time that we got tough on gluttons!

Seriously, do we want to make the Board of Directors the sin police of the autonomous local churches?
