'Blessed' by N.C. Baptists participation

In a recent editorial it was mentioned that N.C. Baptists had the largest number of messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention while not being represented on the program. I am so thankful that N.C. Baptists show their strong support for the SBC through convention attendance and monies sent.

My wife and I had the privilege of attending both the SBC and the Pastor's Conference. While we were not represented at the convention, the Pastor's Conference was a different story. On the program were: Hank Williams of Asheboro, Rick Byrd of Greensboro, Greg Mathis of Hendersonville (who was invited to say a prayer but was unable to attend) and the Rick Webb Trio, that hails from North Carolina. Ergun Caner made reference to his North Carolinian wife and her love for the delicious tomato sandwich. I did not feel the least bit slighted. We were blessed to be part of the convention along with so many other N.C. Baptists. I rest assured our voice was heard each time we cast a vote.
