The N.C. Baptist Men Missions Camp at Red Springs is set to open May 20.
Baptist Men put out the call for volunteers in an e-mail statement April 28.
"Our purpose is to help churches involve their members in missions," the statement said. "One of the ways you can do that is by using your skills and talents to rebuild homes and lives in the name of Jesus Christ."
Eddie and Martha Williams, who oversaw N.C. Baptist disaster relief efforts in Gulfport, Miss., are coordinating the Red Springs camp.
Volunteers will use the missions camp as a base of operations for work in Robeson County and the surrounding area. They will rebuild and renovate homes.
Teams will be charged $15 per day per person, which will cover supplemental insurance, room and three meals. Teams will have to bring their own tools and bedding.
Workers will sleep on bunks in a dormitory style room. Showers will be provided.
Volunteers must be 13 years old or older. Youth groups must have an adult for every four youth and include at least two skilled construction workers.
Teams are needed for the following dates: May 20-24; May 27-31; June 3-7; June 10-14; June 16-21; June 23-28; June 30 - July 5; July 7-12; July 14-19; July 28-Aug. 2; Aug. 4-9; Aug. 11-16; Aug. 19-23; Aug. 26-30; Sept. 2-6; Sept. 9-13; Sept. 16-20; and Sept. 23-27.
