This year, when First Baptist Church Atlanta stages its annual Easter production at the Atlanta Civic Center, Jesus won't raise Lazarus from the dead. But he will heal a paralytic.

JENA, La. - "You don't have to explain to the nation where Jena is," said Dominick DiCarlo Jr., pastor of the Louisiana town's First Baptist Church.

Thousands of high school and college students from around the U.S. will gather in the middle of the nation on May 25 for PARADISE, a unique worship experience that will feature no publicized bands, speakers or products. The gathering will take place in a 600-acre remote field of La Cygne, a quiet, rural town approximately 40 miles south of Kansas City, Kan., and will center all attention on only one name - Christ.

Cooperative Program (CP) gifts from churches for missions through the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (BSC) are up 4 percent through the first two months of 2008, according to figures released by BSC comptroller Robert Simons.

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Can a minister, rabbi, imam or other member of the clergy endorse a candidate from the pulpit or speak on political issues of interest to voters? Is a church or other house of worship legally permitted to register voters or distribute voter guides?

WINSTON SALEM - North Carolina Baptist Men needs volunteers to get Red Springs ready for summer volunteers.

Eddie and Martha Williams, recently returned from Gulfport, Miss., are busy getting Red Springs ready for volunteer groups coming this summer.
