Biblical Recorder online ads in detail

Biblical Recorder advertising units conform to Interactive Advertising Bureau standards, where they are applicable.

In-Content Banner Ads

These high-impact, 394 pixel by 60 pixel banners are available on index pages (including the Home Page) throughout the Biblical Recorder site. On story & content pages, they may be up to 468 pixels wide and up to 60 pixels deep (an IAB standard Full Banner). They surpass at building consumer awareness of your product.

Size limit is 20 KB. Flash and other rich media may be up to 20 KB in initial size with additional loads of up to twice that to support the animations.

Small, brief animations may begin when the page loads. Other animations may begin only after the user touches the ad with his cursor. Animations may loop a maximum of four times.They may run for a maximum of 30 seconds.

Sound is permitted if it is user-initiated by way of a clearly labled button.

Online Advertising

The current run-of-site rate for In-Content Banner Ads is $260 per month.

Bottom-of-Page Banner Ads

High-impact, 728 pixel by 90 pixel banners ( IAB standard LeaderBoards) are available across the bottom of pages throughout the Biblical Recorder site.

Size limit is 30 KB. Flash and other rich media may be up to 20 KB in initial size with additional loads of up to twice that to support the animations.

Small, brief animations may begin when the page loads. Other animations may begin only after the user touches the ad with his cursor. Animations may loop a maximum of four times. They may run for a maximum of 30 seconds.

Sound is permitted if it is user-initiated by way of a clearly labled button.

SharedMast (Right and Left)

Share the prestige of the Biblical Recorder's prize-winning journalism, pace-setting online innovation and long service. Each of these 268 pixel by 60 pixel ads is placed on the right side of the mast, where studies indicate they receive more user attention than any other ad on the page.

They pack more punch, kilobyte for kilobyte and dollar for dollar, than an ad spot other than the Home Page mast.

Standard rate for SharedMast ads is $240 per month.

Non-rich media may be up to 15 KB in size.

Rich media may be up to 20KB on the initial load and up to twice that with subsequent loads. Animations may begin after the user touches the ad with his cursor. They may loop a maximum of four times. Sound may be included if it is initiated by a mouse click on a well-labeled button.

SharedMast ads are available on a monthly or quarterly basis.

SharedMast Home Page (Right and Left)

Shared Navigation

These 110 pixel by 150 pixel ads (look on the left side of this page) can be placed beneath the left-side navbar on the entire site.

Their placement beneath that heavily used feature guarantees maximum user attention to their small space.

IAB standard buttons and vertical banners can be placed in this space with slight modification. Vertical Banners are priced as though they were two Shared Navigation ads.

The standard rate for Shared Navigation is $200 per month for placement on all pages which support them and where there is an the available location.

Non-rich media may be up to 20KB. That size will support fine image resolution.

Rich media may be up to 20K on the initial load and as much as twice that on subsequent loads. Animations and/or movies may begin after the user touches the image with his cursor.

Movies or animations may loop a maximum of 4 times. Sound may be included if it is initiated by a mouse click on a well-labeled button.

The standard rate for Shared Navigation is $200 per month for placement on all pages which support them and where there is an the available location.

Full Page Interstitials

This 550 pixel by 480 pixel ad is good for big product launches and image-building. Recent studies have demonstrated their considerable effectiveness. They are placed between index pages and content pages. Thus users access them as they move between index pages to content.

Non-rich media can be up to 35 KB in size. Flash and other rich media may be up to 35 KB in initial size with additional loads of up to twice that to support the animations. Animations may begin as the page loads. Movies or animations may loop a maximum of 4 times. Sound may be included if it is initiated by a mouse click on a well-labeled button.

They are priced at $500 per month.

Half Pages (IAB standard Half Page Ads)

With our 300 pixel by 800 pixel canvas to paint and write on, you can deliver both dramatic punch and a great deal of persuasive information. They can be placed on any current content page. They work very well when combined with news, opinion or other content that attracts the same audience you wish to win over.

Non-rich media can be up to 25K in size.

Flash and other rich media may be up to 35 KB in initial size with additional loads of up to twice that to support the animations. Animations may begin after the user touches a rich media ad with his cursor. Movies or animations may loop a maximum of 4 times. Sound may be included if it is initiated by a mouse click on a well-labeled button.

Half Page Ads are priced at $400 per month to run for one month in one section on the pages for which they were designed.

Long View Ads

These 160 pixel by 600 pixel ads fit nicely on one side of a content page and on some index pages. The work well as well-designed standing ads the build image as well as attract clientele.

They work best when combined with news, opinion or other content that attracts the same audience you wish to win over. Because their size does not overwhelm the page, they are also effective and traditional ads.

For your advertising campaign, your may place an IAB standard Skyscraper or a Wide Skyscraper here.

Long Views are priced at $300 a month to run for one month in one section on the pages for which they were designed.

RSS Ads

New, and effective, especially for reaching technology savvy readers.

RSS ads are text-only and tagged. The precise form of the tagging is open to negotiation. A standard tag might be "AD," just as RSS links to photographs may be tagged "PHOTO." There are other, equally clear approaches. For example, "Today's Feed is Sponsored by ... ."

The current standard rate for RSS ads $200 per month, per feed.

BillBoard Ads

These 336 pixel by 280 pixel ads are IAB standard Large Rectangles. BillBoard Ads are deployed in content pages. They are not available as a popups. Animations of up to 30 seconds attract positive user attention. User-initiated sound is supported. Third-party server delivery is acceptable, subject to Biblical Recorder advertising standards.

"Non-rich" media can be up to 25 KB in size.

Flash and other "rich media" may be up to 30 KB in initial size with additional loads of up to twice that to support the animations. Animations may begin after the user touches a rich media ad with his cursor. User-initiated sound is permitted.

One-time setup fee

Initial posting of any online ad, other than an online classified, involves a one-time setup fee of $100.

Do you plan to make frequent changes during your ad campaign?

Changes after initial posting are half price. Specifically, as long as the location and size of the ad remains the same, and there are no other complications, the Biblical Recorder will pull out the old ad and put in your fresh, new art for $50.
